When Christy Stone-Curry opened The Piano Café in 2002, she had a cozy coffee shop in mind. Today she still serves coffees, but The Piano Café has grown into a 100-seat lunch restaurant with a private dining room for up to 12 people and a 25-seat patio.
Located at the main cross roads in pretty Port Perry, the restaurant has become something of a Port Perry hub with a clientele made up of both visitors and loyal locals. “It’s kind of like a 'ladies who lunch' place,” says Christy. “I’m the lead chef of a team who all have culinary backgrounds. I am the business person, but love the cooking.”

My second visit, came to Port Perry for an afternoon. Loved the texture of the quiche and enjoyed the carrot soup, pasta fusilli salad a little bland, lemon zest and italian oregano and garlic, good olive oil, would kick it up a notch. All was enjoyable, service a little slow, past peek time. Great atmosphere and curtious service, and enjoyed support the arts. A destination spot for sure. Cudos!
We had a fab time. It seems they were shooting a movie in town and the stars were getting there catering service here. Good enough for Neve Campbell, good enough for me.
My wife and I eat here fairly frequently, and have always been very satisfied .
A real disappointment. The bread on my sandwich was stale and my french fries were cold. Should get a new chef. Nobody took ownership of the poor food quality and the waitress didn't seem to care.
not very good at all, they had a very young person finish the meal and serve it, we had breakfast. You could tell it was prepared before hand then reheated, the eggs were like little rubber balls, and cold, we complained a little and were told sorry, maybe we should try again, she said she tried to do what they taught her, but things weren't really working out. we felt badly for the girl, but really someone should have been there to oversee the preparations.
