When Christy Stone-Curry opened The Piano Café in 2002, she had a cozy coffee shop in mind. Today she still serves coffees, but The Piano Café has grown into a 100-seat lunch restaurant with a private dining room for up to 12 people and a 25-seat patio.
Located at the main cross roads in pretty Port Perry, the restaurant has become something of a Port Perry hub with a clientele made up of both visitors and loyal locals. “It’s kind of like a 'ladies who lunch' place,” says Christy. “I’m the lead chef of a team who all have culinary backgrounds. I am the business person, but love the cooking.”

Over all this place is a great dinning experience for lunch. The servers are nice and friendly and I see that there are quite a few regulars that come and dine here. The price of food for what you get is fair as well. I do think however that the staff needs to be a little bit older. There always seems to be a commotion coming from the kitchen , and a lot of young teens coming in and out from it. I understand within the summer months as students need work , but at least for chef's sake , hire someone who is in their late 20's to 30's with experience as some of the food that comes out looks sloppy and some salads often come with wilted lettus and stale/old tasting toppings.
We were staying at the Inn upstairs and decided to go down for lunch. The lunch was great! They have been there for longer than i thought because the owner is a younger lady. We will return but will make reservations first bto avoid the line
Our meal was absolutely delicious and the service was great! The owner checked with us to make sure that we were happy. The decor is beautiful with such lovely artwork! We'll be back soon!
This is a great place to bring the people you want to impress
Very pleasant place with lovely food and service. Smack bang in the middle of the high street. Recommended.
