What a great place! We've been back a few times and any time i'm in the area I shall return.
This is the second time I have dined at this restaurant. The year before the food was supberb! This year when I had friends come in from out of town, I thought it would be the perfect place to go, but I was very, very dissapointed with the food this time. I might take one more chance and see what happens.
My husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on Dec 31st we decided to try out One99 becaue I had a $100 gift certificate. We invited a couple of friends to dine with us to celebtrate the occassion. Your restaurant is very nice the servers are very nice but I have to tell you I went to the restaurant expecting to choose what I wanted to eat and pay for that evening. When we arrrived we saw a menu on the table looked like the meal had already been chosen so we figured ok we were here lets just go with it. I know with a restaurant like yours presentation is everything but I have to say I have not been so disappointed in the money I spent for the amount of food we ate. I still can't believe I paid almost $400 and left the restaurant still hungry. The sad thing is the only thing on the menu I liked was the roast beef and I had to send that back because it was so rare. I think for the price we paid we should have the option of telling you how we like our meat cooked at least. I guess it was an oversite on our part because if I had taken the time to ask or look at the menu more closely and seen the price I would not have stayed. I guess the hardest thing to take down is I spent almost $400 for a meal that I didn't enjoy and I walked away hungry (we all did). I wouldn't mind paying for the meal if we got our money's worth but I don't feel we did. Great for those people who enjoy that sort of thing but its not somewhere we would go again, the meal was too small the time in between the courses were too long, and with all the money we spent we didn't get a free refill on our drinks which were just soda. I really wish you all the best I know alot of people enjoy your restaurant I guess I just regret not going there before our anniversary because I think the normal menu is pretty reasonable but last night was just outrageous I have never in my life spent so much money on a meal for so little food. I'm not saying all this to be rude but this is how i'm feeling and I had to get it out of my system. I know alot of people enjoy your restaurant but I"m sorry to say that although the people were friendly and the place was nice I could never fathom spending that much money on such a meal ever again.
