Service was pretty good considering we were eating in an asian establishment. Tea was topped up, food was replenished quickly, and the side dishes kept coming. I didn't use their washroom but the location is accessible by TTC or Car. Nice spacious dining area and it was clean. I liked how food was coming non-stop. We had so much food that night - great bang for our buck. Although the taste of the food was a little bland (compared to other Korean BBQ places), the side dishes made up for it. The food is good quality, but because they are tapas, prices add up and the food is influenced by Vancouver Japanese food... so it's not authentic, which was disappointing. Staff is really friendly. It's so incredibly loud here because they cheer and yell like they do in Izakayas in Japan. Read more

We had noticed this restaurant as we were walking downtown and decided to give it a try, best decision ever! When you walk in, the decor is amazing, they have a life-size figurine of a geisha and many ornamental items in the foyer. The waitress was pleasant and kind, attending to all of our needs. I got the sushi bento box meal and it only cost $7.99, it filled me up! The rice and sushi were incredible, and the fried vegetables were tasty. I'm no connoisseur of sushi or Japanese food, but I have had it a few times elsewhere in Toronto, this is certainly the best experience each time I go. The restaurant itself is clean and nice, the food is good and the service is quick. (Not always friendly, but quick) I usually order pretty generic stuff- california roll, bento box, veg. tempura, etc. Cant beat this place, IMO. Read more

I visited last night for the first time for a friends birthday party I have to say the atmosphere was very nice the food was good the only downfall being a disabled person is with the washrooms be in downstairs. Ginko was the first Japanese restaurant my boyfriend took me to before we started dating. I was quite skeptical upon first glance, since they're located by the airport and inside a hotel. Once inside and seated in a comfortable booth, and eating, my opinion of this establishment quickly changed. Not only does this restaurant make you feel like you've literally stepped into Tokyo (as evidenced by the traditional booths, decor and Japanese waitresses serving you in Yukatas), the food will surpass your expectations. My boyfriend was in charge of ordering, and he ordered us assorted sushi and sashimi on a boat. We were met with excellent service, and I must say--the quality of the fish and dining experience will have us be returning again soon. Read more

After a movie date we were trying to get into one of the places beside the movie theatre but the wait was too long. One of the party suggested the Galway Arms close by. I've never been and I surprised to have a place with good food, service and atmosphere in the area that I hadn't heard of. And I hear its been there for 20 years too!!! We all ordered something different from the menu so we could try different things. Nachos to start - nice big portion with lots of veggies and with lots of cheese. We discovered that the Irish Stew, Shephards Pie, Burgers and Steak and Mushroom Pie were all homemade - so different from the ones you get elsewhere and you could choose if you wanted fries, salad, mashed potatoes or soup with your order. I had the Louisiana Chicken Wrap which was very tasty but its a very large portion so you'll have lunch for tomorrow. Everything was hot and really good and large enough that some of us took leftovers home. Those that didn't cleared our plates!!!!! We were divided on the fries as not all of us were big fans of the hand cut fries but those that did like them loved them - soaked in vinegar. Our server remembered everything (including all of the weird requests) without writing it down and everything came out exactly as ordered. She gave us very prompt service and was naturally friendly to us and even took time to talk to one of the guys who was thinking of a trip to Ireland by telling him when the flights would be cheaper, ideal times to visit, places in Dublin to visit etc. We've decided to make this our after movie treat from now on and look forward to the patio in the summer.
